Diane was born in Quito, Ecuador, which is an UNESCO world heritage site. This city is home to some of the oldest and better preserved colonial sites in South America and the architecture is a mix between the native style with the Baroque European style, called “Escuela Quitena”. The eclectic nature and authenticity of her native city’s architecture has been influential in her design approach.
Diane is a designer with 13 years of experience in various facets of the design field. She was introduced to the design world in 2004 working with high-end hard surfaces and was extremely influenced by her work during these years. She also worked independently during this time providing interior design services, drawings and sourcing materials for builders in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. She believes the spaces that surround us have a powerful influence on how we feel and at Armazem she tries to capture these positive elements translating them into the design solutions she offers to clients. Diane works directly with clients to understand how they envision and use their space and she believes cultivating these relationships during this thorough design process is pivotal to achieving their ideal design solution.
Her love for design extends beyond work. Currently Diane, her husband and two young daughters live in a 100-year-old home which they renovate in their free time.
