Born in Volterra, Italy in 1944, Carlo Bimbi lives and works in Florence. He attended the Art Institute of Volterra. There he met sculptor Mino Trafeli, who was fundamental in his formation. Later he studied at I.S.I.A. of Florence, where he graduated with Pierluigi Spadolini. Today Carlo is a regular lecturer at the Istituto d’Arte, the I.S.I.A. and the school of Industrial Design. He contributed to the foundation of ADI Toscana and was a member of the INDEX commission for l’Abitare.
